Matera is going to be Cultural capital of Europe in 2019 so I really wanted to visit the city and photograph it before that. I planned an Italian road trip around Puglia and Basilicata for a long 4 day weekend. We first stopped to Castel del monte.
Then continued along the coast till Polignano a mare and stayed in a beautifull apartment with a view.
While heading towards Matera we first stopped to visit Craco, a ghost town in the middle of Basilicata.
And finally reached Matera.
